Fix Your Scoliosis Curve

ScoliosisWhat if you could reduce your scoliosis curve by 40% in one and a half minutes a day?  Sounds ridiculous right?  Even though it sounds crazy that’s exactly what recent research has shown to be possible.  One simple exercise completed once per day for an average of one and a half minutes has the potential to reduce scoliotic curves by up to 50%!

The exercise is simple and requires no equipment whatsoever.  It can be done anywhere, anytime.

The exercise shown to produce these amazing results is the side plank.  The key is how the exercise is performed, along with completing the exercise EVERY day.

To see these kind of results the exercise must be completed with the convex side of the curve toward the floor.  The convex side of the curve is the side that curves OUT.  The most common type of scoliosis curves to the right.  If you have a curve that pushes out to the right, the tissues on the right side of your trunk will be elongated.  You would complete the side plank exercise with the right side of your trunk facing the floor.  You plank up, hold the position as long as you can, then come back down.  That’s it, that simple.  As the strength and endurance of your trunk muscles improve you will be able to hold the side plank position for longer periods.  As the elongated muscles of the trunk that are located on the convex side of the curve become stronger they will become shorter and actually pull the spine into better alignment.  You only complete the exercise on the one side that has elongated tissues.  You do NOT  complete the exercise on both sides.

This exercise must be completed daily for at least three months.  In the research study this is what participants did.  Doing the exercise inconsistently for a shorter period of time will NOT result in significant improvements.  It stand to reason that continuing with the exercise for longer would straighten the curve out even more.

Anybody with scoliosis can do this exercise.  Everybody has time to complete one set that lasts 1-2 minutes.  Not having time is always the excuse for not exercising.  No matter how busy you are you have 1-2 minutes a day.  These results are nothing short of miraculous, especially considering the time commitment and simplicity of the exercise.  Usual treatment to improve scoliotic curves includes surgery or physical therapy sessions three times a week for months.  This approach is free, effective, has no side effects, and requires minimal time.  While it’s simple it’s not easy though, you have to this daily for three months.  Commit to this program and watch your spinal curve fade away.
