At Permar Physical Therapy you will receive one on one care, administered by a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  Each appointment is one hour and you will be seen by a physical therapist for the entire duration of your appointment.

During your treatment session you will be the only client receiving treatment and our physical therapist will work with you to address impairments and functional limitations that are limiting your ability to participate in the activities you enjoy.  Your treatment program will be tailored to your specific needs and goals based on your symptoms and specific impairments. During your initial evaluation, our physical therapist will determine the root cause of the problem you are experiencing. Using the data collected in this initial evaluation, along with your medical history, we will work with you to set goals and develop a treatment plan. You will be an active part in your recovery, as we provide patient education and teach you a home exercise program. You will also be educated in proper body mechanics, nutrition, and stress reduction techniques.

If you’re coming to see us you are likely in pain or have functional limitations that are affecting your everyday life.  You may have been to several healthcare practitioners and are still having symptoms. We know how frustrating this can be.

We are ready to listen to your story so we can figure out what is keeping you from getting better, and develop a treatment program that actually works.

The unique and effective manual therapy techniques practiced at Permar Physical Therapy result in rapid pain relief.  The client specific corrective exercise programs address underlying impairments often overlooked. The result is pain relief that lasts AND improved function.

We make it a point to treat the whole person, a major reason our results speak for themselves.

Our knowledge from over 10 years in the healthcare field includes experience in every setting from acute athletic injuries to inpatient cardiac and stroke rehabilitation. We have treated patients with conditions ranging from torn ACLs and sprained ankles to heart attacks, strokes, and spinal cord injuries. We are passionate about listening to you and working with you to achieve your goals.

If pain is your primary complaint, our first goal will be to eliminate or at the very least reduce your pain to a tolerable level.  To reduce your pain manual therapy methods will be applied.  This may include hands on joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue mobilization with the use of tools (ASTM) or hands, dry needling, PNF, and manual stretching.  In office visits will focus on addressing your pain symptoms via manual therapy, followed by teaching you specific movement patterns, drills, and exercises to reinforce proper movement patterns.  These movement patterns, drills, and exercises will be completed by you, at home as part of a home program.  They will augment and reinforce the manual therapy techniques performed in the clinic.

The number one goal of our physical therapist is to eliminate or reduce your symptoms to a level that allows you to function and participate in activities you enjoy.  Once this goal is reached we no longer want to see you.

Treatment is successful when you no longer need to come in and see us regularly.  Most people are seen in physical therapy clinics 2-3 times per week for 4-6 weeks.  At Permar Physical  We get people better faster.  The way we do this is with one on one patient care and manual therapy techniques that are specific to each individual’s condition.

Our treatment modalities include manual therapy, joint manipulation, joint mobilization, therapeutic stretching and strengthening, core stabilization training, high level balance training and Trigger Point Dry Needling. We also provide Wellness Consultations and visits if formal physical therapy treatment is no longer required, or you need a program that improves your health without exacerbating an underlying condition.

If you don’t have a pain problem but are just out of shape and don’t know where to start, we can help you get back on track to being healthy and fit.

We have fitness packages that include one on one training with our physical therapist.  All sessions are one hour long.  We can design a program that you can complete at home with minimal to no equipment, a gym program, or anything in-between.  We have trained seniors over 90 years old, high school, college, and professional athletes, moms, and busy professionals.  Whatever your fitness goals, we can show you how to get there.

Gage is the physical therapist to see if you have sciatica, arthritis, lower back pain, or any other neuromuscular condition.  We can help you get back to living the live you want, with less pain.  If you have weakness, balance impairments, or are unable to function at the level you desire, visit our Prescott Physical Therapy office.  We specialize in manual therapy, pain management, and whole body strength and mobility programs tailored to your specific needs.
