About Our Prescott Physical Therapy Practice

Permar Physical Therapy is not your ‘typical’ physical therapy clinic. We give you one-on-one treatment with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit. All appointments are one hour long and you get the undivided attention of a physical therapist each and every time. Our goal is to get you back to living an active lifestyle you deserve. Our focus is addressing your specific needs, tailoring your treatment program to you and only you. We specialize in manual therapy, pain management, and whole body strength and mobility programs to fit your specific needs.

We will work with you to address impairments and functional limitations that are limiting your ability to participate in the activities you enjoy.  We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment.

If pain is your primary complaint, our first goal will be to give you pain relief.  This may include hands on joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue mobilization with the use of tools (ASTM) or hands, dry needling, PNF, and manual stretching.  During your visits the physical therapist will focus on addressing your pain symptoms via manual therapy, followed by teaching you specific movement patterns, drills, and exercises.

Our number one goal is to eliminate or reduce your symptoms to a level that allows you to function and participate in activities you enjoy.  Once this goal is reached we no longer want to see you.  Treatment is successful when you no longer need to come in and see us regularly.  Most people are seen in physical therapy clinics 2-3 times per week for 4-6 weeks.  At Permar Physical Therapy we see people 1-3 times per week for 2-3 weeks.  We get people better faster.

If you don’t have a pain management problem but feel you are out of shape and don’t know where to start, we can help you get back on track to being healthy and fit.  We have fitness packages that include one-on-one training.  We can design a program that you can complete at home with minimal to no equipment, a gym program, or anything in-between. We have trained seniors over 90 years old, high school and college athletes, moms, and busy professionals.  No matter what your fitness goals are, we can get you there.

If you suffer from neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, headaches, knee pain, sciatica, or arthritis and need pain relief give us a call TODAY! If you need rehabilitation following an injury or surgery, weight loss and fitness, or wellness prevention, we are the place for you. Call and book your next appointment today and see results fast!

More Testimonials »What Our Patients Are Saying

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease over five years ago. Medication and periodic bouts of physical therapy treatment have been the mainstay of my treatment program over the past five years.  Needless to say I have seen my share of physical therapists.  I have accomplished more over the past four weeks working with Gage than I have over the past five years.  I am walking around my home without a walker, I can stand up without the assistance of a caregiver, and most importantly I have a home program I can complete on my own that will slow the progression of Parkinson's.  Thank you Gage for your knowledge and for caring about me and my situation.  -- P.J.

You have helped me immeasurably. Among the things you taught me, the most important was that you gave me hope.  Without hope I could not have begun to recover. Your knowledge, your skills, your patience, your ability to relate, your concern for your patient's needs, your determination, make you a great physical therapist.  Thank you for everything.  -- J.C.
